This keynote address is designed to create a framework for educators to carefully rethink the design, purpose, and validity of assessment in a classroom environment where AI is available for student use.

Grounded in a combination of academic research as well as practical classroom examples, educators are guided through a balanced approach that both recognizes the initial reaction of transitioning to completely offline and analog experiences, with the opportunity to rethink the questions and work we are asking students to engage with where AI may play a valuable role.
